Blue Ridge School Education Foundation

Scholarship Grants

The scholarship program was established in 2012. Annual awards go to qualified Blue Ridge Early College graduating students accepted into a two- or four-year college or university.

By the end of the 2021 school year, the Foundation had awarded a total of $154,700 to 57 students.

In 2019 the $1,000 Don Sentell Honor Scholarship was established for a graduate displaying outstanding academic and leadership qualities during his/her high school tenure.

This year the Foundation honored the top 10% of students in Grades 7-11 for their academic achievement and awarded $25,000 in scholarships at its annual celebration on May 12th held at The Orchard Events Barn. A total of $65,000 from all community organizations was awarded to five 12th and 13th year graduates who will attend Western Carolina University, University of North Carolina Wilmington, Cape Fear Community College, and Toccoa Falls College.
